"The Basketball Association of America was founded in 1946 by owners of the major ice hockey arenas in the Northeastern and Midwestern United States and Canada. On November 1, 1946, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the Toronto Huskies hosted the New York Knickerbockers at Maple Leaf Gardens, which the NBA now regards as the first game played in the league's history." |

Well MLB is without any question the top baseball league in the world so the winner of that is the 'world champion' team.
They have a separate baseball world cup that Japan basically dominates but even the best players from the Japanese national team play for MLB teams. If they start calling major league soccer a world championship, then yeah, that would be stupid. |
Does any U.S. city even want the Raptors?
Of course, if the Craptors moved to the States and were owned by people who cared as much about sports as they did about milking every cent out of idiots, maybe the team could attract some real players and actually win a game. Shit team, shit organization. |
...so they can sell more beer!
|
Basketball was invented by a Canadian.
