Bye bye Tebow...Manning to Broncos according to report

Per Chris Mortensen of ESPN, Peyton Manning has made his decision ... and he's taking his talent to the Mike High City. Mort reported that Manning had advised agent Tom Condon to wrap up negotiations on what is believed to be a five-year, $90 million offer.

God doesn't want Tebow in Denver anymore.

bronco67 03-19-2012 09:21 AM

I predict he won't be worth it. Just a hunch, but I think Manning's a little long in the tooth, and his high number producing days are over.

SuckOnThis 03-19-2012 09:26 AM

Anything is better than Teblow.

brassmonkey 03-19-2012 09:29 AM

its not official till he says so

GetSCORECash 03-19-2012 09:31 AM

Lets us all pray for Tebow to come to Miami.

i agree. how many superbowls did he win in Indy? 1. its great he has 4 mvps but it takes a team to win the big game. Just look at his brother. 2 wins in less time then his big brother has been in the league.

They talk about him like the next coming...

V_RocKs 03-19-2012 10:40 AM

Would be interesting if we had a team that played in Death Valley... Wouldn't that be empirical truth in God's view of Tebow? Putting him on the lowest place on Earth?

NaughtyVisions 03-19-2012 10:47 AM

I don't claim to be an expert football analyst, but I see this whole situation as being similar to when Green Bay finally cut the strings with Brett Favre.

GB realized Favre had seen his best days, and the future was only him on his downward trend. I think Manning is in a similar situation. Indy saw this, and let him go.

The Broncos may get a decent year or two out of him, then will decide to cut the strings. Someone else will snatch him up, only to drop him after a year or so. Manning may still have some good games in him, but he's peaked. Everything is downhill from here for him.

The only benefit to signing him would be to help mold a younger QB, but who knows how much Peyton wants to play teacher, or even second fiddle at points, to another, younger QB.

I doubt Peyton Manning leads another team to a Superbowl.

Socks 03-19-2012 11:22 AM

But if your peak is that much better than the competition, how long on the slow road down from there do you have before you reach the peak of the lesser QB's? Just because someone has had their best year behind them doesn't mean they're still not better than 90% of the other guys out there, and the 10% are likely having their peak year.

sandman! 03-19-2012 11:39 AM

denver will win 10+ games this year it seems.

L-Pink 03-19-2012 12:06 PM

What a deal for Manning. The Colts suck and will take years to rebuild. Without Manning they won 2 games. Now he gets to pick his "dream team" to finish out his career. A tream that has all the pieces but him. Good move.

Not a bad move for the Broncos to have Tebow as a backup and to bring in Manning to not only improve them but act as a mentor.

ThunderBalls 03-19-2012 12:36 PM

Vegas now has Denver as the favorite to win the Super Bowl at 8-1 odds.

Tebow is under contract isn't he? Doesn't he have to stay unless they deal him out?

Apparently the Broncos are planning on trading Tebow once they have finalized the deal with Manning

Denver doesn't want tebow, nor does anyone else.

I believe he becomes a free agent, and with Miami in need of a quarterback it would be best for him to come home. We have plenty of churches for him to go too.

Please, we don't need another scrub at qb, we have had enough. Word on the street is, alex smith may sign with miami, and I am not sold on him either.

digitaldivas 03-19-2012 04:47 PM

As a part time Denverite, I do hope that we keep tebow. It would be an excellent opportunity for him to be mentored by manning and elway. A chance that not alot of QB's get.

Alex will stay in SF. We have Matt Moore which is not great but better than Tebow. The Fins can't get anyone great to play there.

GAMEFINEST 03-19-2012 06:53 PM

manning has better chances at the superbowl
