Choise Bank Fuck YOU !

60 days ago I filled a dispute/chargeback, and got it send through paxum.
Choise Bank ask $40 to get a chargeback process started.

Still not any fucking response from Choise Bank after 60 days!

Money Is In Motion. :pimp

Tommydiv 03-19-2012 08:55 AM

x-rate 03-19-2012 09:54 AM

Why the hell a bank would ask $$$ for a chargeback????? wow!

It sucks...

Are you merchant or consumer? Sounts like consumer. Ouch that is rough but I kinda understand some kind of upfront fee to chargeback/investigate. As a merchant I find habitual chargebackers.

A consumer shouldn't have to pay it. For years the card associations and participating banks have said always use your Visa or MasterCard for the security provided, so you can easily do things like CBs.

Yes It was weird to get a $40 fee charged, to get a chargeback process initiated.(not refundable)
Though it's not clear for, who profits this fee, the bank or paxum.
But they have the nurve to ask $40 just to start a process, and for already 60 days not any single word from them.

Does that matter any ?
Well let's say I purchased an online service, paid in advance for 3 years,
but 'provider' pulled the plug, after 5 weeks, due to going out of business.

Ofcourse the oficial statement from regarding company, that they are going out of business is added to my dispute.

You sure choice asked you for the money?? I have accoutns with both paxum and payoneer, who both use choice, but payoneer doesn't charge me to fill a dispute/chargeback... you should check with paxum. They gave me the hardest fucking time just opening my damn account (it cost me like $100 to get my ID documents notarized and took almost a month), I wouldn't be surprised if they're shaking you down for more money to fill a dispute.

No, it's for me not very clear if Choise Bank does request this fee or Paxum.
In case if it's Choise, well let me say you, it would be the first bank that I know of
that ask a fee to get a dispute case started.

As from a ticket between my and a Paxum rep "the fee for this investigation is $40"
(No mention about who does request THIS fee)

And this all for a chargeback amount of more or less $250 minus $40 fee + Waiting Already For 6 Weeks = BS Choise :)

Fat Panda 03-21-2012 08:50 AM

Banking in Belize = #EpicFAIL

Did the paxum guy ever answer you?? Based on their site, it's a paxum fee
paxum.com/payment/fees.php?view=views/fees.xsl

Chris...ruth..can you confirm?

epitome 03-21-2012 05:03 PM

Call MasterCard. Just like how some stores say $10 or a fee to charge, that is against association rules and you can report it to them. Make sure this isn't the same deal. I've never heard of such a fee. Visa and MasterCard both market how you can safely make transactions using their card and this is the opposite of that.

The fee is not a Paxum fee. The fee is charged by the bank for the processor. The fee is deducted from our account at the bank each time a claim like this is initiated. It is a cost we cannot negotiate.

While we do recommend that you first attempt to resolve the issue with the merchant, it is correct that Payoneer does not charge a fee for filing a dispute.

I'd have to say, never heard of that a bank does charge a fee to process a dispute!

Anyways, the fee is for my not the big issue here, but have to wait already 8 WEEKS,
just to get their decision sucks imo. And that while the case looks very clear isn't ?

I even attached their oficial "going out of business" notice which they've sent by email.

Should be the most clear ChargeBack case from 2012 :2 cents:
