I'm just busting balls. I'm a Digital Cinematography student and spent quite a bit of time with film students. I get shit like that from them all the time.

I shot with film and video and I think that digital is not video and is replacing film. First with still photography with cameras like the D700 and now with the new large sensor digital cameras taking much higher resolution than video, progressive whole pictures like film and not like video, and vastly improved colour and contrast looking like film.
With time lighting etc a very high quality look can be achieved which was not possible with video and small format film. I think it is very exciting time to make "movies"
