I'm sorry i just think this is dumb, and just a bad decision and accident waiting to happen. Not enough simple ways to die so you got idiots like this jumpin out of planes, climbing mountains and putting their lives on the line for what a challenge,the rush?
I'll say this, Darwin knew exactly what he was talking about, we'll be seeing this clip again soon except it will be on 20/20 with the tag line tragedy going down ....

Was thinking the same thing. One tread doesn't catch a rock the right way, and he goes sailing over the edge of that cliff. When people live like that, they always push their luck to the point where they finally make that big mistake.

It looks worst than it is......the guy could have done that trail every day for the past 20 years , increasing his spreed day after day......

But, it is a pretty rough trail......for sure

That video has been shared in the Downhill community a lot of times since it popped up. It's pretty awesome if it's "real", personally I think the speed is increased a bit since it seems too unreal to be true. But he sure is a pretty epic rider!

props to doing that without screaming entire time..

The video makes him look like he is going faster than he really is.. He almost comes to a full stop at one point..

Saw it before...damn exciting.

guys if you know a track and have ridden it like 100 times before then there is no real risk to speak of...a mountain bike is not like a motor bike, a mountain bike is precise and corners like a fly if you know what you are doing, it is a very very precise riding instrument that gives you a great level of control...to be honest the most difficult part of the track was the choppy part in the middle of the track the rest of the track is pretty standard stuff...

this is a good quality helmet cam he shot from, considering how crap quality the shots and FPS usually is...
