Webhosts specialised for Live Webcam sites
 

Hello,

I need a QUALITY Webhost who is specialized in connections for Live Webcam sites, keeping the performers live, live streams of sound/HD quality webcams. We are running on ModenaCam software and our current set is an dedicated server with external FMS from ModenaCam but we keep having disconnection issues.

Seriously looking for good options here :helpme

Hello Mutt, so far no complaints other than our own webhosting which can't handle broadcasting and streaming performers.. :)

Why don't you run your own FMS or Wowza server? Keep everything in house and keep it simple.

Few questions:
1) how many models + customers are online at the same time (total connections to the streaming server) when you start getting disconnected? or its randomly disconnected?
2) how much bandwidth is used for streaming and which codec is used?
3) where are models located and where is the streaming server located geographically?

we are working only with red5 server but I beleive you have to figure out reason of disconnect before switching to another hosting, probably need to adjust FMS settings or choose server location that would keep stable connection to both models and customers and at this point experience with streaming server does not really matter.
