SEO Experts - If Your Bored ???

OK So we've been doing a lot of work on our www.TrashyContent.com website, new shoots, new package options, better pricing and better navigation...

However I notice when we do searches for thinks like "content provider" and "adult content" we're no where to be seen...

I'm wondering if we're missing anything obvious when it comes to SEO... So if your bored and want to take a look at the site, and make some suggestions they would be more than welcome :thumbsup

Just a quick glance at your splash page... re-title the page (I'm guessing probably all pages if they are done the same)... renaming images doesn't hurt either for certain types of traffic. I shall look more...

adultforum 03-18-2012 09:22 AM

Mate you have too less links pointing to your site. More links will give you some link juice and your site will grow in serps (search engine results page).
Your site was registered on 15-feb-2007 (5 years and 1 month ago). It should have thousands and thousands links pointing to it by now.
Good Luck

TrashyContent 03-18-2012 09:26 AM

Thanks

Thanks guys really appreciate the help :thumbsup

So like re naming images... I am thinking re naming them to the models name ?

And re naming the pages... any suggestions, yes I am a total NEWB when it comes to SEO :Oh crap

Hey where can I see how many links point to it, is there a site that shows this ? And should I look at buying backlinks ?

baddog 03-18-2012 09:40 AM

Try adding the phrase more than once on your front page/

Jim_Gunn 03-18-2012 09:44 AM

"If You're Bored??". You're= You Are

TrashyContent 03-18-2012 09:45 AM

Hmmm...

Lack of backlinks.

EddyTheDog 03-18-2012 09:59 AM

Try using SEO quake, it is a FF addon - Click the "Diagnosis" button and it gives you a few hints and tips.

Some good ones it had pointed out for this page - http://www.trashycontent.com/individ...ayboysolo.html - For example:

No Alt tags on images - No Sitemap - No meta description - No meta kw's (I wouldnt worry to much about that) - No robots.txt - You are not making good use of headings tags.

It mentions more advanced stuff as well, like microformats.

The real big one though is backlinks.......

Quality inbounds via hardlinking and blog posts will get the serps moving. Be sure not to point them all at the homepage and don't go buy like 400 links now from some dude that has 400 blogs all with identical content, simply add a dozen or less links a day pointing at least two to internal pages and within a week or so you could see some changes in your ranks, I mean some shaking thats all. Make a few changes, add some original text with some/most of the keys you're shooting for. Once you have seen that Google takes to it then you can do some radical seo.

Good Luck!

For one way backlinks, how about trying to create a linkspun acct with that website listed as well as a bunch of feeder blogs if you have them. Then just request a lot of trades to your site and accept the one's that don't request that site back, just the feeders.

Alt tag EVERY image using sentences longer than 5 words.
Use the "content provider" keyword a lot more. Keep it under 2% though.
Use the keyword in every paragraph.
Use the keyword on every page tittle.
Renamed files to keyword-girls-name-set-number-01.jpg etc etc etc
get incoming backlinks using that keyword in it such as "Trashy Content Provider" (although that name might sound negative in views of people searching though)
Use lots of internal linking, such as a list of popular sets on a sidebar or whatnot.
FOr incomming links you cand o it two ways. tons of low quality links added periodically, dont add a shitload at once, space em out. Or use less links but being high quality instead of low quality.
Build hubs, reviews, feature pages of certain models. Build these on different sites/domains, link them to your main site's model page. Send those hubs/pages/other domains links from different sources.

These are just a few different things you can do.

You're welcome :)

You could also look into buying adwords too in the meantime.

bean-aid 03-18-2012 10:48 PM

You have massive SEO negatives working against you.

First, I would like to know the *legality* reason behind having a splash (aka totally worthless seo sabotage page) for the index? That is the most important page and it is killed with bullshit. I'm pretty sure back in 1998 there was a big *scare* that all adult sites needed it but pretty sure by about 2000 or so it was deemed totally ineffective to advert underage surfers from viewing content.

Then... you have no meta description whatsoever..., none of the stuff that matters in the code :(

Also, you have big images at the top of your most important pages and even text in an image...

Sitemap, title, description, get rid of splash page, put the keywords you are trying to hit in title and H1 tags... follow that... you will see a *huge* increase in type ins.

good luck

We didn't put the "Splash Page" in for any legal reasons... it just seemed to be a option that I thought (obviously wrongly) achieved a few things... I felt the text on that page was pretty good... but are you suggesting it's not ? Not enough text ? Not specific enough text wise ? As I have said we're totally new to all of this...

I also dont know why the big image is a issue, surely most sites have images ?

Also I asked a few posts about if we should put a blog as part of the site, would this help ?

Sorry I sound so dumb :Oh crap

Yes. Google loves frequently updated, relevant content.

Run this on your site:

All titles ideally should be unique in nature... check yours out :2 cents:

You have a lot to work on

Like most of the people have already said, you are going to want to incorporate your keywords into the title, and other elements of your page.

I'm not an seo expert, but I think that you should start a blog because you don't have a lot of text content on your content page; so you may want to use the blog to produce content to feed the search engines, and as an entry point to your main site. (you could even use it as a selling point)

I'm not sure exactly how it will affect your rankings if you host the blog on your site vs a separate domain, but I'm sure that there are arguments for, and against, both options.

You may also want to do some research on other keywords to see if you can find some long tails that can bring in a few extra clicks for a low cost.

Look for ones that are bringing in a few hundred clicks daily, and make sure to register a domain with that keyword in it. This will be more time consuming, but cheaper than using adwords.

For instance, I found adultcontentprovider.org to be unregistered; if you do some research to see how many clicks it is getting, it could be worth registering. http://www.seomoz.org/blog/its-a-fee...rdrich-domains

You should check out the SeoMoz site if you haven't already, and you may also want to buy a book on seo; if you have time to read it. Jennifer Grappone's SEO: An hour a day has a few tips related to adult sites.

Also, here is a tool you can use to check backlinks:
