A website were you can go and post pics of your ex that played/cheated on you.

Search a db and see comments about a new g/f b/f from there ex's.

What are your thoughts on this?

I don't know about the database part but the pic posting pf ex-girlfriends is an old idea.

As long as you don't charge for it, it could work. It would take MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of entries for the average joe to be able to login to that site and even have a remote chance of getting a match on their search.

Plus, the legal aspect of it would be hard to calculate....that kind of site would invite lawsuits all way....ESPECIALLY if you're trying to charge for the service...

It wouldnt be the same..You need it warm and fresh..it sticks better

I had the same idea about a year ago during my divorce and was seriously thinking about doing it. A lot of stories my ex was telling me about guys she was going out and then finding out they were jerks or full of bs. And I thought there really should be a place people can get some kind of dating score like a credit score.

But, when we looked into the legal components it got very complex in terms of potential libel liabilities that could ensue so it was shelved. Also worried about the freak factor since the losers once rated horribly would be ruined for life and could go and freak out on the last girlfriend that posted stuff about them and kill her or something and then that could be another major lawsuit to deal with.

There is a need for sure. Just have to figure out a way to do it without the legal risks. I'm still thinking on it, cause it would be a big one if you could do it safely.

It's a solid idea. You can get around the critical mass issue with geolocation.

Libel is a problem. You'll have to host it in like... Madagascar?

There was a nyt article on greatboyfriends.com not that long ago- it's sort of an antonymical site.
