ccbill 3 day trial

Ccbill offers you to select a trial period.

But the min amount is 3 days (from what i remeber logging in my stats).

Do you think thats too long?

I think it should be 1 day or even 6 hours.

I have managed to download lots from a site in 1 day.

Surly the idea of a trial is just to get a taste and if you like you stay.

I know you may sugest messing about by limiting how much content people can download on a trial, but that gets a bit messy to me.

Ok...

In my opinion if you offer a trial... you should offer a seperate more limited members area through the trial... which gives the surfer the flavour of the inside without allowing them to rip the whole thing...

Pretty sure it's standard procedure to do it that way...

3 day is better, your trials should not include the availability to download. 3 days gives them to chance to either forget and then get billed for the month membership after that expires, or to give them just enough to want a full membership.

I wouldn't offer a trial for your sites, because when people see the content, and how some of your sites don't even have a single video in them, there's no way they would carry on the trial.

It works really well for good sites though.

i have tested a few (joined) wher you get full access on the trial.

though these are ccbill sites.

i have never joined a non ccbill site.

Unless you have a truly massive amount of content, this is definitely the way to go.

The way we do this for customers using the Elevated X CMS to manage their pay sites is to have a separate trial area or multiple trial areas that limit access. You can then only allow a trial user to watch a certain number of videos per day before being sent to an upgrade page, or - only allow viewing of photos but block access to video and any bonus content like plugin feeds and cams.

The trial members can still click around and see the whole site and can watch video trailers. Often the "tease" this setup creates is enough to generate solid trial to full member conversions.

If you're not using software to run your sites that has these kinds of features you might want to experiment and build a static trial area that only gives away a limited amount of content.
