todays great idea for a website (2) [14.03.2012]
 

This is an idea for review sites.

Rather than text, use vids.

The same as you see for holywood films were the host chats abouut the film then shows clips from the film.

To be honest damian sort of did this (but not very good)

It needs to be done in a fun way.

I suspect this would convert sites better as well as keep people longer on the review site.

Was done already. Someone spent major cash doing it. Not sure how it turned out

though a bit of an overkill

plus i watched one review. it starts of like a tv show. but then seems to just have some member of public film joining the site and looking at pics. i found that so dull. he sounded boring.

i meant keep it simple. you chat about the site in a fun way theb show a clip from one of the vids. that way its a bit like a tube site but with a review at the start.

i do not think i could watch many vids on livereviews as they killed it for me. they took away all the sexy fun and made it soooooo dull.

its no more your idea than any of the zillion blog casts made.

the idea of these is suposed to make you want to join the site. there reviews seems to try to put people off.

i do not think they understand how to make cash.

I also did or tried to do this on my site earlier. I've asked cam sites to give me a member account with some very low minutes - 9 out of 10 refused, whom I got aprooval from, I did the job, made a review video, upladed it to Megavideo. Got some good views on it (ofc no signup, we are talking about a cam site here).

1.5 weeks later - Megavideo and Megaupload busted.
