Due to splitting up with the wife I'm looking at renting out my property and moving on, So what State, City do you recommend? And how much are rental properties up your way?

Where do you live now?

Brisbane.

Rents are still reasonably cheap here and you can't beat the lifestyle.

Attention all Aussie females: wanna hook up?

brisbanes nice.... around the city its about 250-300 a week for a nice house... but i reckon u would prefer to live a little north or south of the city so u can go fishing.... redcliffe maybe and go fishing on the bay...

Sorry to here that Aussie Rebel I hope she dosent shaft you to hard.If your going into full time webmastering head for Brisbane area cheaper rent better weather and lots of people to work with.

Thanks Mate, she will try and get me for everthing, and as for webmastering fulltime I have been for about 6 years now. And I hear brisbane has heaps of webmasters up there, But I dont like the QLD dope laws:1orglaugh

Byron Bay is a nice spot, but is getting way overpopulated for the size of the town. If I ever get the urge to leave tassie I'll be heading somewhere around brisbane.

Yeah have to agree with Brisbane.
I rent a luxury townhouse for 220 a week 10 mins north of the city. Bloody cheap and a great lifestyle.

yeah brisbane is great great beachs thats all pretty close.

a nice area near brissy is redland bay

byron, ballina, lennox are all great places to live if you're into the coastal town lifestyle - fishing etc. and we've got DSL up here which was my first priority when looking to move back. Although house prices are a little nuts, the rent is great because of the economics of the region..
