Hey, how come there were no Israeli soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq?
Just thought of it. We are close friends and shit, yet I never heard of Israeli forces fighting there? I remember seeing some bad ass Polish special forces, Norwegians but never any Jews? How come?

He's right, you're a fucking idiot! Lets see... Why would the coalition of countries fighting there not think it would be a good idea to invite the Israelis to join our occupation forces in Arab nations?!? Hmmmm.... :disgust

When was the last time Israeli Jews fought with or for us? Serious question. |
They take part in other ways
Israel trains US assassination squads in Iraq http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2003/dec/09/iraq.israel "Israeli advisers are helping train US special forces in aggressive counter-insurgency operations in Iraq, including the use of assassination squads against guerrilla leaders, US intelligence and military sources said yesterday. " Israelis in Iraq http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programme...ht/5361442.stm "Also tonight a Newsnight exclusive - we have obtained the first pictures of Kurdish soldiers being trained by Israelis in Northern Iraq. The sensitivities for the Kurdish authorities are serious, since their political enemies have long accused them of being in cahoots with Israel. The Kurdish authorities have previously denied allowing any Israelis into northern Iraq." |
Every other Arab country would have left the coalition if Israel had taken part. It was tough to keep Israel from responding to the scuds Iraq launched at Israel.
May not make sense but it does to them. |

More about the Israeli-Kurd relationship http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/FF30Ak07.html
Israeli involvement with the Kurds is not a new phenomenon. In its search for non-Arab allies in the region, Israel has supported Kurdish militancy in Iraq since the 1960s. In 1980, Israeli premier Menachem Begin publicly acknowledged that besides humanitarian aid, Israel had secretly provided military aid to Kurds in the form of weapons and advisers. Later on, that relationship was kept low profile due to Washington's alliances in the region; first with Iran during the Shah's monarchy, and then with Saddam Hussein's Iraq when he fought Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini's Iran. Israel's partnership with Turkey that was founded mainly to counter threats from Iran, Syria and Iraq, was also a factor. Israel and the Kurds also share a common bond through the Kurdish Jews in Israel, who number close to 50,000. Prominent among them is Itzhak Mordechai, an Iraqi Kurd who was defense minister during Benjamin Netanyahu's last term as prime minister. |

Israel starts wars by controling the government via the Israel Lobby and false flag attacks. Do you honestly think they are then going to let their soldiers die in them?

You think we are going to 'Win Hearts And Minds' in Iraq and Afganistan by sending in a load of armed Jews?
|
Quote:
That is what Bush and some others think. Maybe the people who keep sending soldiers to solve problems can state examples of when it turned out for the better and the did win 'Win Hearts And Minds'. :Oh crap Thinking back I can't think of any. Must be some, so GFY historians educate us. The actual policy of befriending and supporting a nation hated and reviled by so many others, is stupid. Think of it like a Jew, how do they feel about Nations who supported Hitlers Holocaust? Look at the other side of the coin and get the Muslim perspective. The UN, largely influenced by the US, action of setting up Israel. Was a first step on a ladder to today's strife. |

all the terrorist have to do to generate hate is point out the support the US and many other Western Nations give to Israel. Their arch enemies. Sending Israeli troops to these regions as part of an invasion force, would be beyond stupid. So not surprised to see it discussed here. 6 more wasted lives. http://news.sky.com/home/uk-news/article/16184668 |
Hmmm...
They didn't see them as KOSHER wars !

Any politician who thought or thinks he can solve the problems in the Middle East. Is a moron and should be given a few History books, the Bible and the Koran to read.
So he pulls out ASAP. Fletch is right, the arms trade fuels so many of these wars in places that have never known peace. |

We have been good with them for 60 FUCKING YEARS. Making us some of the strongest alliance in the fucking world. |
Maybe because we're trying to not fight a war against the country, but to remove certain elements from the country while "winning the hearts and minds of the people". Whether that's a good strategy or not, having Israeli forces invade is not exactly going to win the hearts and mind of any arabs. Isreal being involved would make it a whole lot harder.
If we decided to blow the country up rather than try to be friends with the population while fighting there, Isreal could help blow some shit up. That's not the goal, though. |
