With big government here to solve all of our problems, why do things keep getting worse?

A better question might be without government running your health care program, the only first world country without public health care, how come your goverment spends more per capita than anywhere else on health care and yet has no universal offering?

Barry-xlovecam 03-07-2012 04:38 PM

And in spite of all that; 10 million immigrated to the USA legally in the last 10 years and who knows how many illegals came ... Pretty good for a county that is crap ...

So you thought you'd answer my question with something that's completely unrelated? Uhhh okay thanks.

pornguy 03-09-2012 02:09 PM

#4 The average American drinks more than 600 sodas a year - the most in the world.

I think mexico takes number 1 for this.

#5 U.S. corporations sell more fast food and more soda than anyone else in the world by a wide margin.

Of course we do. what other country has fast food chains across the globe?
This is stated as a negative thing and its NOT

#8 The United States has the highest percentage of one person households on the entire planet.

again stated as a negative thing?? WTF

#15 The United States produces more pornography than any other nation in the world.

Right the Hell on!!

#34 The United States has the most foreign military bases in the world by far.
Now back in the day it was England that had this spot and Rome before that.

Where do you get the idea the government doesn't run the health care system? The government regulates every single aspect of it.

Seems like the some other "government run" health care systems are starting to fail.

What I mean, and it was pretty obvious, is that depsite not having a goverment run single payer universal healthcare plan, you're still spending more per capita on healthcare than anywhere else.

These types of programs always work great in the short term. We are starting to see the beginning of their failure. Not saying that our system is the best, it is not. Too much government and too much corporation in government.

you really consider it a good thing to be the world leader in artifical food?

rowan 03-10-2012 02:51 AM

A lot of these #1's seem to be based on absolute numbers, rather than per person, which means the USA may be at #1 solely because of the greater population.
