I went to Whistler yesterday boarding it was awesome!

Just wear extra protection on your ass, you will need it! LOL!

Remember that charmin commercial where the girl was gonna play football & stuffed herself with toilet paper for cusioning?

goBigtime 02-08-2003 10:49 AM

BUt really, careful of your wrists.. a lot of people sprain them when they are learning to snowboard (From falling on them). Basically your wrists and ass are going to hurt like hell tomorrow.

Hmm wait.. that's interesting...

I guess newbie snowboarders & hookers have something in common.

High Quality 02-08-2003 10:52 AM

yeah, stretch AFTER you ride. Trust me... your calves and thighs are going to hurt SOOOOOOOO much tomorrow from riding edges if you dont stretch. DO it man, DO IT NOW too.

Scott McD 02-08-2003 10:54 AM

Yeah, take care.

I don't want you in the office on Monday complaning of a sore ass....

Again...

:thumbsup

bryany 02-08-2003 11:22 AM

Maannnnnnnnnnn your ass is gonna hurt, hehe.

I have gone twice. The first time it was hard and scary but I got the hang of it and was goin so fast, I was freakin out and biffed it pretty hard, LMAO

The second time I caught on like a pro and tore it up on the intermediate hill, LOL

Woo Hoo!!

And make sure your medical insurance is up-to-date.

Rent one of those blow-up Sumo Wrestler suits...then, instead of bouncing off the hill on your ass, you can merrily bounce around with no harm to yourself...and provide great entertainment for the kids.

Send us "before" & "after" pictures.

GregP 02-08-2003 12:13 PM

I went snowboarding last Sunday for the first time with my son.
It is true , you will be very sore tomrrow , extra padding would probably be a good idea. It should be called "falling on your ass boarding"

duroflex 02-08-2003 12:16 PM

Or just plain: "Ass-boarding"

TDF 02-08-2003 12:19 PM

stay on the snow

PiTaAnGeL 02-08-2003 12:22 PM

do not try and ride the board flat.. always stay on your edges or you will catch an edge and end up on your ass!

quiet 02-08-2003 03:10 PM

you'll be sore for the first couple of days, but it's well worth it.

Or if you lean too far foward you will eat it hard, litterally!

D-Money 02-11-2003 06:16 PM

Use your heel when you really want to use your toe, and vice versa.

Once I did the opposite of what I thought was right, I saved my ass from a lot of pain.

Cheshire 02-11-2003 06:19 PM

You're gonna fall nonstop your first time.

But *DON'T* give up ~ it's the best sport I've *EVER* taken part in, and I've been a jock my whole life.

:thumbsup

progex 02-11-2003 06:22 PM

I went snowboarding for my first time 2 days ago.

Btw, I'm still sore! :winkwink:

You have to use your ankles alot, and use your body weight to stop.

dlex 02-11-2003 06:23 PM

its all upper body...look in the direction that you want to go...trying to move your feet is worthless it is way different than skateboarding..:thumbsup

KrazieSweets 02-11-2003 06:26 PM

yeah have a good fucking time and let us know how it was

Eric's Nuts 02-11-2003 06:31 PM

Bring lots of pain killers for the next day

Candyman69 02-11-2003 06:31 PM

learn to go side to side with the heel edge.. once uve mastered that , learn turns , those are the hardest.. then learn to go straight =)

i'm new at it too but i caught on quick :thumbsup

Nysus 02-11-2003 06:32 PM

Bring a very cheap / disposable video camera, shoot, and then put online for us. :thumbsup

I've wanted to go snowboarding for a year or so now.. Been a skiier since I was about 5... :)

Cheers,
Matt

I second that, in my case it were specially my wrists the first day

FreeOnes 02-11-2003 06:55 PM

I have learnt snowboarding 2 weeks ago. It went pretty well after 3 days practising without any lessons. I recommend to practise the first day on a very flat hill. :2 cents:

Jamie 02-11-2003 07:22 PM

tip: don't fall down

Keev 02-11-2003 07:30 PM

try not to break your falls wth your hands / wrists.... use your ass as much as possible .... less of 2 evils

nikudorei 02-11-2003 07:41 PM

dont eat that yellow snow. its where the huskys go...

FadeEP 02-12-2003 12:25 PM

Be prepared to be in alot of pain and have your ass feel like it just got rammed by a baseball bat :)
