Any Tech in the house!
Ok it's been a long time adn i don't remember how it's done, i'm running a perl script on my server. Example: perl test.pl
But the problem with that is if i disconnect from teh server it stops, about 2 years ago i was doing it and adding something at the end of my command to start the script and put something to tell it to run in the back ground. So anyone knows what i have to put so it runs into the background not on my console? Thank you |
I just remembered how to do it,
perl test.pl > log.txt & :) |
man jobs
man fg man bg man screen |
Quote:
That'll work.. use jobs, fg & bg to switch around. |
