Syd was released to practice and have contact today. If he can stay healthy with the team that is already great without him. . . the odds are good they will raise the cup again.

sad to say but crosby is pretty much done. if he comes back the most likely turn of events will be he plays for awhile and then goes back out. you don't really ever come back from the type of concussion problems he has - i wish it wasn't so. nobody in the nhl is going to treat him with kid gloves, especially in the playoffs. ask eric lindros, marc savard, pat lafontaine - sid's career is over, but he nor anybody else wants to admit it so we'll go through another couple of comebacks before he finally accepts it.

very sad, i wish him the best, the game of hockey needs him.

supposedly they say a lot of his problem may not be concussion related but instead soft tissue damage in his neck that presents symptoms like concussion. If that is correct then he could heal from that and get along fine.

If it really is a concussion then who knows. He could be rolling along, then take an odd hit and be our for good. Lindros is a perfect example.
