don't think about backup anymore... since I installed mozy i'm happy :)

I had a scare yesterday with some corrupt files on the drive I render my frames to.

Checkdsk was saying there were "orphaned"files, now everything seems ok. I don't usually back up frames -- just my jobs drive. Maybe I should start.

This is the second time that happened to that same drive. Would you buy a new one?

Instantly. Hard drives are so cheap nowadays, well, slightly more expensive since the thailand floorings, but still cheap.

And get two, and mirror one to the other.

Mirrors are good ... but still a chance of getting corrupt data

We use mirrors and backups

i auto backup my sites every monday and pc every sunday

I feel bad every time I see someone post that they lost a drive and didn't have backups. You'd think on a webmaster forum they'd be doing backups.... but no.

Personally my home stuff is done by Time Machine, which is also synced to a server. My servers are backed up automatically every week now and sync as well.

I just figured if my two second post could save someone's ass, why not :thumbsup
