juicyads mobile eCPM dropped?
 

anyone else have their juicyads mobile eCPM drop dramatically in the last days or so?

Mine used to be $9~ now it has dropped to $4~ with the same traffic.

Yes looks like it's time to send it somewhere else. A weakness with that system is sellers do not get to see what the buyers are actually paying for the mobiles. It's too easy to get screwed that way. As far as you know the sellers are paying the same prices as before, you're just getting less. No way am I going to send the same traffic for half the rate without at least some sort of explanation for the sudden drop.

My eCPM has been dropping about $1 a day since the 23rd slowly. It used to be above $10 now it's just a little above yours. Very suspicious in my opinion. No accusation though. I will wait to see what they have to say.

That's my daily CPM since early Jan. It could just be normal market fluctuations

How come the US eCPM was much lower then other counties? I would have thought it would be higher...which sucks because 80% of my traffic is US. I can't wait for them to fix this though, would love to see my eCPM back to where it was.

I would love to see an option to send all traffic to a sponsor if the eCPM falls below a certain point that we can choose. Right now they only send the traffic they don't want to your chosen sponsor. In the meantime, my eCPM has fallen by nearly 50% and right now I could be doing much better just redirecting the traffic to a sponsor myself instead.

There's a very good reason the pay for the traffic was so high, and it's nothing to do with juicyads and everything to do with what the buyer(s) are willing to pay for the traffic. Hopefully other buyers will fill the slots and the ecpm will go back up.

Beacuse of the "monopoly" the one having it paid such high prices, to keep everytone out. It's not like they were GIVEN the "monopoly position" for free. So you directly benefitted from having the highest paying advertiser being sent the majority or all traffic, because you got paid accordingly. Enjoy it while it lasts, and remember that no good thing lasts forever!

Well good to know i was not only one who experienced this.I moved to other broker which dont have such high rate as it had before juicyads but atlest is stable and dont have sudden drops due to their system organization,only have sudden ups.Still i would be return back to juicyads if old CPM returns.

Shouldn't have jumped the gun because the JuicyAds ecpm is pretty much back to normal again lol.

Yup, I'm around $6 or so eCPM, would be nice if it was back in the $7-10 range like it was but I can't complain, still making money. I prefer Juicy Ads over Plugrush so I'll be sticking with Juicy Ads.

I had 10$ CPM before this mess,6$ CPM is not enough.

I was over $10 as well. I have a lot of European traffic. It's back near $7.50 now here. I will keep sending my traffic at that rate but I may not go ahead with some other projects I had planned. My motivation is less now at 25% less profit.

I'm not commenting on the Juicy Ads part, but wanted to give an explanation of the US v. Euro traffic and why it's so different.

On normal sites where there isn't specific geo-targetting to gain the surfer traffic, the majority of that is smartphone traffic, about 80% as you say.

It comes down to a couple of factors but the main one is billing. In Europe they can bill to the phone which greatly improves ratios. Also, you may have noticed some Euro countries CPM has gone down, like Germany due to increased regulations, which started on 9/15/2011. So people are buying clips or weekly memberships at $4.95 and they just recur like mad.

So then that leaves the majority of your traffic, US. The conversions average about 1:1500-1:2k. I've noticed (and I've never been a tube basher with sales) that when more mobile tubes opened up that had unlimited, full-length content conversions started to worsen. Who wants to leave a free porn site to go to a paid one? Not many ... and I know this is an argument that can go back and forth but I have done tests since mobile and pad started and have watched the trends. iPad ads use to convert at 1:250 and I think it was because tube sites weren't quite compatible with tablets yet. Videos wouldn't work and it would be slow loading. My banners would say iPad optimized and be up and showing before any video loaded. Then the tubes revamped the pad and I went to about 1:700 with the same CTR.

So between having to enter all your CC info on a phone and tube sites, USA traffic is worth quite a bit less than even a year ago. I've really started to notice it over the last six months or so. There are several companies that buy redirected traffic like this that just don't want US at all.

I would suggest filtering as many countries you can to make up for the US traffic.
