Just realised i still worry about hovering over sound banners on GFY when we have guests
 

Some of my fiancee's family are over tonight, and i realised that while surfing GFY i was worried about any damn sound banners going off by accidently hovering over them. :1orglaugh

Don't know why i even thought about it because those banners haven't been about for ages now. I guess i just remember how much embarrassment they've caused before when we've had guests in the house... :helpme:1orglaugh:helpme

Speakers usually off. Having a video loading while someone comes in the room to talk to you is not good either. Turn around to pay attention to them and wonder why they seem a bit detached and are looking behind you not at you :Oh crap

I originally blocked GFY banners because of those sound ads. It's just stuck all those years.

If there was something from the admin saying they'd no longer put up sound banners, I'd happily remove the block. I bet plenty of others would, too.

As a bachelor the sound banners didn't bother me that much other than startling my cat a couple of times. But the very serious trojans that infected my laptop at least twice through GFY banners or signatures made me block all ads, at least on my laptop.

I do see them in my Android browser when I surf on my smartphone. For some reason the January 2012 Internext banner seems to be permanently displayed when I broswe GFY on my Evo 4G.

Jesus...I was checking out some websites to promote and I went to some of them and they had an automatic porn video that would play with music and everything on every main tour page.

I remember being 15 or 16 and checking out porn online in the early days and whenever my parents would come into my room I would quickly close out my browser....only to have a fucking popunder or something come up and have a big picture of a gaping vagina with moaning sounds...:(

I'm hoping they never return! :1orglaugh
