Anyone use OCZ Vertex 3 Solid State Drives?
Would you recommend them?
Reading a lot of mixed reviews. |
nope, too many other good choices.

I've been using one in my macbook pro for about a year.. has worked great and nothing negative to report
|
I have the previous generation in my Macbook Pro. No problems with it whatsoever. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade, good speed increase but more importantly for me no moving parts so no worries about damaging the drive moving it about, etc.

I have one. It's pretty kickass.
More expensive than other SSDs tho. |
Have one in my suitcase right now I'm waiting to see in action.
I think we are using these in our raid10 setup we use for our database servers, they work like a charm and they are a fast as hell |

I mean they either work or they don't right? If someone had one that died, then they'll say how terrible they are. If you have one and it works, then it's the best product in the world. There's no in between.
I have a 120gb Solid3 as my OS drive because it was on a great sale, and it's the best upgrade I made to my PC in a long time. Much more improvement seen from that upgrade than going from a dual core to a six core processor + new MB + DDR3 + 4gb to 12gb ram combined. I wouldn't hesitate. |
Working great on my mbpro, blazing fast.
|
checkout the Crucial M4s, I have one and it's been running great.
|
Google "vertex 3 bsod"
I have one and couldn't use it as my boot drive due to the constant crashing. |
Always using only the Intel SSDs.... love them.
