Got an iPhone? There is a couple iPhone controlled coffee makers.

Emil 02-25-2012 04:59 AM

Remote control so you can turn the electric outlet on and off + older coffemaker.

Turn off the electric and set the coffemaker to on.
When you wake up, just turn it on with the remote!
Yeaaaaah!

That's ok. I'm sure Google is working on a GHouse where everything is controlled via your G+ account.. :\

X10 - control everything from your Android, computer, remote, or by pre-programming. You can put a motion detector in the bathroom and tell it to start making coffee when you get up to pee.

Switch to instant coffee. It helps you cut down, and you just need to nuke the water for a couple of minutes. I've actually done this and no longer drink a pot of coffee every day. Go decaf too and you wont feel the need for a nap in the afternoon either.

Mine is on a timer and goes off perfectly when I want it to.

I started doing this 3 days ago. I'm now drinking coffeine-free instant coffee.
Before I drank ~1.5 liters of coffee everyday, way too much. It causes anxiety and make my energy come and go in waves...

haha, I know. Not for the connoisseur of coffee. But for the more average addicted to that morning coffee person, it's one way to go. You could also go for those one shot coffee makers and use some quality grounds. Whatever cuts down on the wait.

I'm drinking something right now I'd not have imagined a few years ago. Green tea with a drop of honey.
