Virtual hosting, your experience with any of these?

All right folks, I need your input. I need some budget hosting while not giving up way too much quality, so I've been looking at a few hosts at around $0.5/GB. I need to know if you've had any experience with these, good or bad, please let me know. Here are the 3 I'm looking at right now:

Quik Host: Sound really affordable and they allow 25+ domains for each account, which should be great. However, I know they have Cogent BW and as I'd like to run at least one TGP I'm not sure how big of a problem that would be.

Racksale: I've heard only good things about them, but there are some things I'm concerned about. For instance you're not allowed more than 5 or 10 domains, unless you sign up for their VPS deal, which is a bit pricy for me atm. Also, on their front page they claim they'll throw in ePower Trader for free, but I don't see it (any more) as an option for their virtual plans. I understand they use Verio, but how good is that lately? Also, I'm a bit confused about their "not allowed to use more than 5% server resources" rule, anyone here with input on that one?

Hosthybrid: These guys sound almost too good to be true, which, according to Murphy's law, they should be. Anyway, I see they allow pretty much everything I need, including unlimited domains. That is great! But who is their BW provider? Anybody had any experience with these guys? As I said, I'd go with them straight away, but they sound almost too good to be true.

Again, I appreciate all your input, good or bad. Also, if you know how much their servers are capped at, if they ever run slow because of overload or anything like that. Thank you in advance!

I am hosting with HostHybrid, they simply rock. You have control over everything..

I have the business hosting plan

» 100gb of transfer
» 1GB Diskspace
» $0 Setup fee
» $49.99 per month
» $0.50/GB

Verio bandwith (not cogent)

Just fot the Cpanel X, man, wow! Try it:

Price is awesome! And so far, no downtime.

After prohosters and cologroup, I feel like someone having a margarita on a beach..

We host with WebAir as well and these guys get it done. They?re NOT on cognet, they have killer NOC support and will always work with you to fit your specific needs.

ISPrime's specials look really great and from what I've been hearing they're rock solid. But unfortunatley I think their $55/mo deal is a bit over my budget, as I'm just not gonna use that amount of BW for another 2-3 months... And I'm a cheap bastard who doesn't wanna waste money if what I buy for it can't be put to good use to its fullest extent. :)

cotsios 02-07-2003 08:02 PM

$0.50 per gb (no cogent at all)
50 domains

icq: 149389211

Out of the 3 you posted, I would go with Quik Host, Oscer is good people
