Not a problem for me where I stay, no taxis, no tuk tuks and no songthaew, we only have samlors and motobike taxis.

Did a 400km drive from where I live to Udon Thani and back the next day, the way people drive here are insane I had to brake multiple times to avoid a head on collision because some shit head felt he had to over take a truck and me driving along on my side of the road were my problem.
I never drove a motorized vehicle before I moved here and I think its were an advantage because I have only experienced the Thai way of driving, knowing that people making a left turn just do it without looking for example.
