Any other Primus fans?

I've been listening to them all morning...

my favorites:

Saw them open for Morrissey at Maple Leaf Gardens in 92, they went very good live

I love Primus, seen them several times. The new album is good, I don't think its as good as antipop or the first three though.

I had a Primus Sucks bumper sticker back in the 90's.

One of those bands I love n my girl cant stand lol

It's been too long since I listened to Primus.

Saw Primus play in 1999 on the Family Values tour @ The Cow Palace in Daly City,CA .. they were the best band there. Awesome performance for sure..

I've seen them a bunch of times through the 90s and 00's. My favorite performances have been when BucketHead joined them.

As big of a fan as I am of these guys, sadly I've only seen them live twice. They always seem to hit Vegas the same time as others bands I like or when I'm out of town.

Their live show is probably best described as "nutty". Les Claypool makes me rethink how I play bass then reminds how much of a noob I am when he plays...

If you played drums, i'm sure their drummer would school you also. And pretty much anyone else except for Tool's drummer.

Which of their drummers? Vince Parker, Peter Libby, Robbie Bean, Tim Wright, Jay Lane, Tim Alexander, or Brian Mantia? ;-)

(Hell, I might have missed some... seems like they've had a dozen over the years)

For my money, Jay Lane is the best of the bunch, but they are all good.

Used to hang with Les back in the day when we were doing Orgazmo world movie premiere tour...

At Sundance, I somehow managed to bring a cute horny porn curious Utah girl back to our condo... I was getting freaky deaky with her in the hot tub... and I didn't realize but Les and and about 30 other people came back to the place. Les set up all the chairs to make a mini bleecher style seating for the mob then opened the curtains...

I looked up and there was Les essentially sportscasting the action behind the huge windows while everyone looked on enthusiastically.

I put on my porn guy stunt cock hat and we gave them quite a show. In some parts of the world they say it isn't really a party until you find Homegrown naked in the hot tub. I say it isn't really a party until Primus takes the stage and everyone starts bouncing. :thumbsup

Jay is insane. He played briefly with Bob Weir and Phil Lesh in Futhur and it was a real treat to see him in the drummer seat and banging the skins. I swear to all that is jam that he looks like an octopus with drum sticks when he gets going.

Jay is one of my oldest friends. We grew up together. In fact I am the first person Jay ever jamed with in my garage in 1979...LOL.. We had a little band going.. I talk to Jay about once a week... Great guy.. Me, Jay, Todd Huth, & Les Claypool used to hang out all the time in the 80's. When they started Primus I went off to the army. We have always stayed friends through out all these years... Man, the stories I could tell you!... FUN TIMES! One time in the mid 90's on the tour bus in kansas city after a show we were so stoned, I was sitting in the front of the bus with Jay and Les came over to me and said, John are you ok man? I just looked at him and smiled but Les then said, "Dude whatever you do don't die on the bus" We still joke about that night even today... LMFAO!

I've always thought of them as a Redneck Rush...though more entertaining live...as much as I like Rush, the last time I saw them live, it was a little underwhelming...the musicianship is top notch, but I felt something was missing

big fan of Primus and all of Claypools side projects...

got to see them years back in Vegas when he played the whole Pink FLoyd Animals album...great show

they were on Jimmy Falon last week....Les didnt jump around thou...still great to see play

It's the band I have seen most live, always will love them!
