Go Go GOP!

Three Top GOP 2012 Candidates Commit to Enforce Nation's Pornography Laws

Three of the leading GOP 2012 Presidential candidates have made statements committing to enforce existing federal obscenity laws if they are elected, while the current administration still refuses to enforce federal obscenity laws prohibiting distribution of hardcore pornography, according to Morality in Media.

I have to admit...Obama was done a few months ago.

But he is one helluva politician. And once the media stirred up the GOP candidates...they started going for each other's throats and destroyed themselves.

And this morning when I heard Obama is proposing lowering Corporate taxes, I realized that he just took another bullet out of the Republican gun. Pure genius!

Santorum is an insane religious freak. Romney has now been wounded AND has found himself having to act like a religious crazy man as well (which will come back and bite him in the ass if he makes it to the general election)

I believe if Romney had went straight up against Obama with none of this primary insanity...it would have been a landslide for Romney.
But now? Obama is looking like he's on his way to another term: Economy is a little better AND he is lowering corporate tax rates.

The only thing left is the high gas prices or if the unemployment rate spikes up real bad.
Other than that? I don't see anything stopping him now.

Too bad he didn't govern like this for the first 3 years instead of letting the country run on auto-pilot while he let Pelosi and Reid write a "health care" (insurance company kickbacK) bill.

But better late than never. Bill Clinton straightened up after a couple of years too and had a great presidency and maybe Obama has finally figured it out and will follow in those footsteps. :)

Romney seemed like he might be a viable candidate for the GOP to run against Obama until he opened his mouth. Then you start to realize that he has no character; no charisma; no convictions. He is a shell. There is nothing inside but howling emptiness.

He has two major problems. First, like you say he seems to be a soulless cardboard cutout of a person who is willing to say anything he thinks people want to hear in order to get elected. Second, much of his ammo has been already been taken away from him. He can't attack Obama on the healthcare bill because Obama has already said that the healthcare bill is based on his Romneycare bill that he put together as governor. He can't go after him on the wars because Obama got Bin Laden, he helped lead a smart intervention that ousted Quadaffi. We are out of Iraq and he has us on a timetable to get out of Afghanistan. That leaves just the economy which is improving.

If the economy continues to improve Obama will play himself off as the populist who made some hard choices that were unpopular at the time, but that were needed and it is working (doesn't mean this is true, but winning elections is all about what you can convince people is true). He will point out going Romney is a return to what drove us into the ground. Romney's only retort would be say that he could make the economy better and do it faster, but it would be a hard sell. When Romney starts to talk about creating jobs you now every commercial will have that soundbite in it where Romney says he isn't worried about poor people and there will be plenty of ads showing how many companies Romney dismantled and how many jobs he destroyed.

All of them just keep running off the same old crazy shit and I'm losing interest. It seems to be a who-can-out-crazy-the-other contest now. I'll start paying attention if Ron Paul starts climbing the charts. Like him or not he seems like the smartest of the bunch. He won't beat President Obama either but at least the debates leading up to the election next November will be more interesting.

Then again, I hope I hope I hope that Sarah Palin jumps back in, and just for extra icing on that crap cake, she brings in Donald Trump as her running mate. Oh, the joy that would bring.
