Thumbnailed TGPs - how do they make money?
 

I discussed thumbnailed tgps with a good friend of mine on ICQ last night: he's running several sucessful 'normal' tgps and tried a lay-out with thumbnails a couple of months ago. According to him he made $70 from it in three weeks, but almost brought his server to a crawl (hence all his other sites suffered). He said with this layout people get spoilt and don't click advertising anymore...

I noticed that many thumbnailed tgps (like madthumbs and teeniefiles, etc.) have hardly any obvious advertising at all, so all their revenue must come from listings of their own galleries and some $3 paypal webmaster payments to get a better gallery spot - can that be enough?

The bandwidth for sites with such traffic must be horrendous...!?

Teenmafia was using 20gb/per day and wasn't bringing much cash down to me. That's why I changed the format on it, and have jesterthumbs using it's old format.. but now with 100% hosted galleries as thumbs. It works ok. The only money I made from teenmafia was to wegcash remote email boxes. :)

:1orglaugh unless it's Hun's thumbs up I don't see making a bank or is it an offshore bank? lol When you guys will stop shitting about tgps using trade scripts make a ton of money? They may make some money but far from making a bank.
