any shooters using the Sony a77 for video?
just wondering how it compares to a Cannon D7 for shooting video

I think what you're probably referring to is the Canon 7D. I shoot with one. Solid camera. Can't go wrong with it from a quality perspective. But you need to be dedicated to focusing, and it will take a lot of setup compared to a run-and-gun camera with built-in auto focus.
But if you want to have super OMFG quality... you really can't go wrong. It records at 48mbps bitrate. If you have any doubts about what you're looking for, rent all the cameras you're considering and have some chick come in to test them out. |
I will always be a D7 man, but looking at D900 for it's better price point.

He is talking about the Sony A77. Although why he should take advice from people who cannot read (even with simple spelling mistakes ) is a puzzle.
