People do change. When they go from one extreme to the other, it is OK to question them and even be suspicious.

If they weren't the type that tried to jam their convictions down other people's throats, it wouldn't be as big of a deal.

I always feel bad about the stories of teenage moms being shunned from society and hidden away to give birth and then have their baby put up for adoption. Yeah, none of us wants our kid to get pregnant too young, but they shouldn't be locked away and later pretend it didn't happen.
