Another vote for Yoshi's. I took my last girlfriend there for her birthday about 6 months ago, great place.

I would recommend Gordon Biersch on the Embarcadero, but its always packed to the gills on friday and saturday nights. Someone would have to get there early and hold a table or two. I don't believe they take reservations.

Ok lets get a few more people in and pick a place.

Yeah, Yoshi is a great friend of mine, known him for years. But I don't know how many people like sushi.

Matrix is cool, but we would need to get there early, otherwise it gets way too packed.........why don't we do City Tavern, and we can move on from there. There's a couple dozen bars within a stone's toss of City Tavern.

And, I guess we should do it Saturday the 15th, since the 14th is Valentine's day..............sort of forgot about that one.

Is the Back Flip or Blue Light still around? Cool clubs when I lived in SF 6 years back.

Backflip is out (or going out) of bidness.....Blue Light is still alive and kicking......and in fact in the news recently.........SF's Police Chief Alex Fagen's son, who's a police officer (and a couple of his cronies) beat the shit out of one of the Blue Light bartenders (and a couple of his friends)....

Now he's facing a major lawsuit, but still not kicked off the force (even though this is like the 4th time in a year that his been in this kind of trouble....)

Anyways, I'm off on a tangent.....

We're meeting Thursday, 6:30 at GB.......then maybe GoldClub....and take it from there......
