Looking For a High Performance Wireless Router
Hey guys,
What are you using as a high performance wireless router in your offices? |
This one looks good...
http://www.amazon.com/Netgear-Wirele.../ref=pd_cp_e_0 ahh still looks like it's got some bugs |
I just recently upgraded when my trusty DD-WRT flashed Linksys WRT-54GS went south.
After a lot of reading reviews, I settled on the Cisco E2500 Dual Band 2.4/5.8GHz 802.11g/n. I am VERY impressed for the $89 (Staples) I paid for the router!! I pick up a strong signal on my blackberry from the back parking lot, as well as from across the street. I do not think I've rebooted it since I plugged it in 2 months ago! http://homestore.cisco.com/en-us/Rou...viewp rod.htm NOTE: I have NEVER ONCE been asked to buy Network Magic software, (a common complaint in the reviews), but I manually configured the router, so I did not use their install CD ... I am getting 32mbps down over WiFi on my MacBook Pro (I subscribe to Videotron 30mbps service) .... With the old router, I was hard-pressed to get 18mbps! http://www.speedtest.net/result/1775636408.png |
I had nothing but trouble with wireless routers until I bought this one from Apple. 2 years now and not one issue.
