Anyone else having problems with MySQL on Webair?

Anyone else having problems with MySQL on their Webair server? A couple of days ago some of my databases crashed and today when I was going to create a new database I got some error msgs.

And now when I want to create a email-account I get:
Error 501 (net::ERR_INSECURE_RESPONSE): Unknown error.

Fantastic. :1orglaugh

I've been looking for a dedicated in Netherlands but haven't found anyone I'm happy with yet...

We have about 800 MySQL DB with them, all are fine.

When this happened to me it was the hard drive about to give up the ghost, so get them to check it for errors.

Rhetorical question? :)

Check your daily backups. You have a WORKING backup of your databases, right? Last night a client forwarded us the information their host sent about where backups are stored, so we could recover the backup from the host. The latest backup was September 2010 and had hit a 2GB file size limit. So the backup their well known host provided was 18 months out of date and missing 25 GB of files.

I won't name the host only because it works be unfair to single them out - most hosts don't test backups, so they fail about as often as they work.

We strongly recommend that you NOT use Webair! We had nothing but horrible experiences with them.

another webair success story.

It all depends on the server when hosts put thousands of accounts on one server. Unless you like to gamble try a premium host.

Vendzilla 03-03-2012 07:28 PM

I've had a box with Webair for I think 7 or 8 years now, fuck has it been that long? They tell me when a problem comes up before I know. I got hacked once thru my Comus scripts, but other than that, smooth sailing the seas of cheese
