I know this field will shrink by November, but if you had to vote right now, who do you choose?

It's going to be four more years of the same. Enjoy it. Hope you're all still around at the end of his 2nd term. Probably 1/2 of you won't be.

Man I can not believe people would actually vote this guy in again.

The real battles will be for congress and senate IMO. Congress could be an easy takeover for the dems, but the senate is tougher.

The devil you know is better than the devil you don't know. Obama isn't half bad - He's taken a bad situation and made it some what better. Seriously, no one in recent times has been handed a worse situation - Two wars, the worst economy since the 1930s, and a complete lack of confidence in our government at all levels...

Here's how I think it's gonna play out - Mitt Romney will become the GOP nominee and will loose to Obama.

Not half bad?! He's got each and every one of us tens of thousands of dollars in the hole - about $60,000 per household.

Over the next few years, when you start getting the bills for that $60,000 you now owe, you might feel differently.

(Some calculate $122,00 per household, I gave him the benefit of using the more favorable number.)

Ron Paul running as a true Third Party candidate or independent could be the shake up our political system needs.

A) Your graph is outdated by over a year. Add another $3 trillion to Obama to update it.

B) your graphic says Bush was president in 2009. Correct that by moving $1.7 trillion from Bush to Obama.

Then note that nearly half of the entire debt in the whole history of the country was incurred in just three years, from 2009-2012.

Ps - Based on the numbers, the conclusion is that Bush really sucked, yet Obama sucks twice as bad. That's pretty impressive to be twice as fucked up as Bush.

so what we have learned is Bush and Obama spent too much money, time for a change?

Obama signed the NDAA which allows for the indefinite detention of American citizens without trial.

That single thing is enough to vote his ass out of office...

Edit: And you want to make up numbers for it being a year out of date, one month into 2012 isn't a year so I'd wager you're numbers are wrong there too.

I think any webmaster being paid in U.S. dollars should be concerned. One of the reasons the United States has gotten away with this scheme for so long is the USD's status as the world's main reserve currency. However, it's well known that many countries are tired of holding onto this mounting debt, and are actively looking into alternatives. Guess what happens to the value of all webmasters' paychecks in U.S. dollars when that happens?

Would be nice if more programs started paying out in other currencies. But the majority of porn sales still come from America.

The mounting national debt is a huge problem which needs to be addressed. A few tax hikes in an already bad economy will not do the trick. Neither will the Fed's ability to create more money out of thin air and lend it to their cronies. The issue is spending, and I see only one candidate who's proposing any serious cuts in this regard: Ron Paul. That is the top reason why he gets my vote.

Know what a lot of that debt is from? Putting the wars, medicare part d, etc on the books.

The debt can be handled raise taxes and make it expensive to import jobs. After ww2 the debt was 120% of GDP.
