(Jan. 31, 2012) ?Online adult store GameLink.com is offering double commission in February for all affiliates affected by HotMovies? immediate closure of 90% of its custom video theaters. The announcement came this morning by ?James HotMovies? on his company Facebook page. James stated, ?Removed 90% of our custom theaters this morning.? He went on to explain, ?It's a combination of things all stemming from the raid in 2010.?

Jeff Dillon, Private Media Group?s Director of Online Sales comments on the sudden events, saying, ?GameLink is here to assist all affiliates effected by this very sudden development. I would never wish this kind of situation on anyone, be it a competitor or not. However, my biggest concern is for all of the site owners who lost their revenue and are trying to work out the next step. We are offering immediate help and will build their custom theater at no cost to them, plus offer double commissions all of February to help compensate for the loss due to this major set-back.?

I take it that in light of all that just happen that you will review the Visa/MC rules before adding more WL's to the game link system..?

After all it would be silly to just have webmasters jump around from WL to WL if companies are not looking at any form of real long term solution that does not piss of Visa/MC...
And completely careless of any and all companies not to review the section of the processing rules dealing with what just happen.

Does Game link require for White labels that are on a webmasters URthat the webmasters change the whois info?

And or provide a document saying that you are in care/control of the content and the site?

If not then just like hotmovies you and all the game link Webmasters with white labels may soon see the same thing happen... As that is the rule that was broken. And what MC handed them fines for.

Fortunately hotmovies was able to redirect/point the whitelables to pages hosted on its on domain with the webmasters ID intact...

Maybe a message saying how gamelink is working to make sure this will never happen to it's Webmasters...

This is an old school MC rule that we have been aware of for years. We have steps in place to protect our webmasters. This is a shitty situation and I feel bad for the guys at hotmovies. They are a good guys. I spoke to CJ about this in earlier today. But reality is it will save them some money from the affiliates they were hosting and the affiliates sales were not enough to cover the affiliate's hosting cost.

Yes its an old rule but the solution of pointing the cname well using your own payment page = the same thing the rule is you must show ownership of said url..
pointing the Cname vs the DNS is not a solution as when someone looks up the URL is does not show you as the owner..
There are only 2 fixes..
1- private whois info
2- webmaster changes the whois to gamelinks who is..
This is black and white and cname is not a loop hole..

That's what I was told from mastercard when I setup the whitelabel system for adultrental year ago.

That is what needs to be done. Hotmovies.com isn't the only one which such a request.
