Trailers or no trailers...
So lets hear your opinions. Given times have changed in this overly overexposed sexed world - do you still see video trailers being a good selling tool for your content? Especially interested in hearing from people who use tube promotion as a lead source of marketing...

LOL. if I wrote a message about how my dinner tasted i'd get more responses then this dead air hahahaha...
btw, was fucking delicious ;) |
It depends on the type of traffic that said site is receiving. :2 cents:

I've done a lot of testing back and forth and can only speak for my traffic and sites, but we seem to do the best with 1 trailer that has a mix of girls.
But if you go to the uber large sites, they all have a trailer for every girl. I have to assume these sites have tweaked their tours to be the best they can be, so for them that works best. Bottom line... A/B test your tours with and without. |
If trailers are not helping your sales you need to look at the trailers not how many of them you have up.

We tried trailers and no trailers, in various combination of landing pages, source-specific etc.
My conclusion, which is only MY data point and would not generalize, is that trailer are NOT relevant/helping on our paysites. However, I'd say that possibly 99% of the traffic we receive is people that have already seen promos elsewhere. Also, we have an open model where everything is shown to guests except the download of the full length videos. It is probably different if you have a different model. |
We have found trailers to be valuable on our sites. We do a master trailer with a bunch of girls and then have a collection of scenes to sample from (maybe 12) that rotate with the newest posted stuff and a few of our top rated clips.
