WTf do they think im suppose to be doing? I leave it on a station and let play...

They've been doing that for years, they just don't want to be streaming bandwidth if you've forgotten the feed on. Just hit refresh and it will restart.

How much is it?

LiveDose 01-30-2012 12:53 PM

I have satellite in my cars but there are too may other options out there to pay additional for it at home. I do remember though when it was included I listened once in a while and it would log me out. I used to do what WG said and just refresh the list every so often.

I refused to pay an additional monthly fee for more radios so I just got the online feed and play that on any other device I need. Problem solved ;)

Now that's the way to roll.:thumbsup

Boozer 01-30-2012 03:37 PM

There used to be a alternative player out there that prevented this.

Only thing I don't like about xm radio is the sound quality. Some stations sound better than others, but overall it kind of sucks.

Dupe post

Hmmm, I called to cancel (3rd year in a row) and they offered me both streaming and in-car service for $135.99 for the year.

Not sure about the US service, but on XMRadio.ca, I see it as just $8/mn for online-only. http://www.xmradio.ca/xmro/get_xm_online.cfm

I can't remember how much I pay but that seems about right when I added it on to my car service

Mr Pheer 01-30-2012 04:53 PM

I was paying for their online feed but I got tired of that damn popup asking me if I'm still listening.

There are a shitload of free online radio stations in iTunes and no popups or getting logged out.

For the past 3 years, every 5 months they call to tell me my subscription is up. I tell them that I'm not really interested and they offer another 5 months for $25. The last go round they up'd it to $73 for 12 months. That's in the car. I think it's an extra $3 a month for the streaming access for my phone and laptop.
