Adult traffic to mainstream site

Suppose you have a very highly targeted, highly converting adult niche site.

And you have a mainstream product that pretty much sells itself very well, on almost any kind of traffic. But you clearly cant send the adult traffic to the mainstream site because the sponsor doesnt want to be associated with porn.

How would you guys deal with this? I'm already doing it... but always looking for other's insight into how they would handle it as well.

Send adult traffic to a "clean" intermediary site, which then promotes mainstream product.

Yeah thats what I'm doing, 2 clicks away from porn. But surely there is a better way.

I've been wondering this also. I haven't tried it yet, but it's been on my mind for a while.
I mentioned it to a friend of mine (an adult webmaster) who's been in the adult industry for almost ten years told me it will never work. He says that guys pretty much turn into zombies when surfing porn and will not even give a mainstream ad a second look (or even a first look for that matter).

I tend to agree with both of you. And now that you've confirmed that you're already doing it, i think i might give it a try.

By the way, how's that working out for you?

Since the advertiser doesn't want to be associated with porn. Kinda touchy situation but Sly's suggestion sounds pretty good too.

Wonder if adsense pages work well with forced porn traffic?? Anyone have experience with this?

Does your sponsor need to see the referrer of the traffic? If not, send it through a masking/non-refer type service.

Its way too much money to risk losing over playing with something like that.

Its just a couple hundred clicks daily on the ads to the intermediary site, to the sponsor, but very targeted. The join ratio is high.
