...what would you do? How would you try to win this war? (assuming it starts soon)

Me, I think I would try to get as many troops as possible into the cities, dressed like civilians. Guerilla-like warfare would most certainly cause the Americans to lose large numbers of troops. Sabotage could cause very large material damages.

There is nothing he can do to win this if ever came to a war. He does not have the technology to defeat the United States and its Allies even in his own backyard. This is the post powerful fighting force in the world, then add the troops of the UK, Australia, and China.....Saddam has big problems. On top of almost his entire countrymen wanting him out of power. Once the US takes out their weapon and ammo holding centers they are done....

That sounds a bit familiar... I'm sure I heard something like that some 30 or 40 years ago... something to do with a small asian country or something.

Defeating Iraq is the least of the problems. The problem is finding the weapons of mass destruction, before they get into the hands of the fanatics.

When Saddam has nothing to lose he then becomes dangerous. The US is up against an anemy that will commit suicide to get nearer their God. That is frightening.

Something has to be done agreed, but nothing that has been suggested yet seems the answer.

If I was Saddam, I would purchase 2 things from North Korea. A submarine, and a nuclear weapon.

I would park the sub off the coast of Quatar, and nuke the giant US airbase located there. The US military moved almost all of it's battle planners to that base. I figure if you chop the head off, it would take a long time for the US to regroup and come up with a plan.

by that time, the chemical rockets would be raining down on Kuwait/Saudi Arabia.

I would have planted agents in North America, and would have them start massive fires in every state park, and California via remote control. Light every tire dump on fire, etc. then poison the food supply with aflatoxin/ricin.

They don't exactly have these things to sell. We're not even sure NK has ONE nuke, none the less spare ones to sell. Honestly, I think if people were really selling nukes on the open market, we'd have seen them used by now.Then adding to that you'd need some sort of reliable delivery system, AKA, a medium-range ballistic missle. Not sure if you've read this, but terrorists and their ilk are generally not very bright - they routinely kill themselves attempting to make bombs and such. You'd have to be pretty stupid to think that you're going to paradise with 72 virgins if you kill civilians, after all. I just don't see them being able to pull something like that off. Successful forest fires require a lot more than a can of gas and a book of matches. Poisoning water or food supplies requires a huge amount of biotoxin, which ain't exactly easy to transport around.
