I remember hearing about a program that makes movie thumbs,,, can someone pleeeeez tell me what and where the program is.

There's Blaze Media Pro or the lesser version.

Go to Filesearching.com and look for 'blazemp' and you'll
find it.

I have one that I wrote that works on UNIX servers. You just point it to your MPGs, and it makes either a static or animated GIF preview of the clip at whatever size you want. Let me know if anyone is interested and I can easily package it up.

GPL program (ie free)....and it'll allow you to not only do movie conversions but save any frames from the video that you wish.
