Have you heard of Punta del Este?

My wife and I stayed for the third time at this hotel. We went on our honeymoon and go on our anniversaries: Las Cumbres

This hotel is very hard to photograph. Most hotels look better than they really are in pictures; for this one it's the opposite.

Loved Punta del Este - some great bars there and very fun place to ride a motorbike around.

Beaches are a bit shit - far too many people, but all in all a great place to see.

You must not have seen the best beaches. If you went in January it's going to be packed.

great looking place to relax for sure!

It wasn't really the biggest place, we explored as much as possible with re to the beaches.

It was around end of jan / feb when we were there - so probably explains the number of people. However even having said that, i'm biased in thinking about the beaches I live near when comparing other beaches to them.

It was a fantastic place and we had a blast, however the beaches were not our focus.

Pretty nice place, will def put it on the bucket list. I looove hotels, but my tastes tend to run to the vintage. My favorite, by far, still has to be the Waldorf Astoria in NYC, yes it's old, but I think that gives it a lot of character.

Looks like a nice place but if I had ordered a Sandwich and they brought me that, I would have been pissed.

Not meaning to be rude, but looks like a normal hotel to me, just with a little different styling, but nothing close to "the best", especially in the world.

I guess you have to visit it to really know. I didn't photograph the inside of the hotel, which is really nice.

Hey CS, great thing with US & european McDonalds, they sell beer too :winkwink:

Love dropping into my youth town of Torrevieja on the East coast of Spain... BurgerKing & McDonalds, open all hours & sell beer with your burgers :thumbsup Of course, most of the time I'm over there, I prefer to eat the paella & spanish foods in the outdoor bbq restaurants, but it's great to have a good ole Burger occasionally :2 cents:
