One reason to be happy with a name like "John Smith"

That's why I have an LLC with a partner of mine. My name is the only one in the US and my last name is very unique. I've had it happen where a google search on my name is done and on page 1 the domain name of an adult site is right there (just a blog).
Domain privacy protection of course is just a scheme to get more money out of people but with the LLC I use it to tuck all the crappy throwaway domains (bought in bulk) and just use that as the contact.
If a website has a lot of effort, then it gets the domain proxy bought.

Still... I'm pretty sure in the past when one girl was a partner with me for lab experiments (she was a good student) she suddenly dropped after just a bit (she did have a mild crush on me too), she may have googled my name and found out. Girls can do that sometimes, they start liking you or want to find out more and google and then bam, they start acting weird, this is my theory anyway.

I have a very generic name which makes it hard to google it and find anything about me. A good thing when you're in the adult business and don't want everyone to know. Not so good if you want to brand yourself, or become known for something. 62000 facebook results for my name..

You don't have to put your name there. I've used "Name Admin" on my whois for years because of this same problem seeing my whois results showing up in searches really ticks me off.

Never met anyone with my last name, on FB or email only. Related to one of the guys that started Alexa
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
          think about that

Name Admin or Domain Admin (which is what I use) is perfectly fine.

I also use a po box for whois info.

OP: internet.bs does free whois privacy, and I use that when I want private whois.

I wished I hadn't ben using my real name all of these years. I may switch to an alias just in case one day I'd rather not have my name out there so much. If I switch to an alias sure ten years or so I bet most references to my real name will be gone.
