I've fucking had it with my cable box's "learning remote" - a Checkmate IV (RT-U49C-15+) :321GFY
I have programmed the TV, my DVD/BluRay player, and the cable box will very little difficulty whatsoever - but after trying codes all afternoon, as well as the manual scan - the closest I can get to programming my Technics AX-GA290 A/V Receiver, is power on/off only (no volume or presets) ... but it programs it onto the TV button, thus losing all of the TV functions!! :Oh crap
I was looking on eBay pricing Harmony 300 or Harmony 800 units, when I saw the Logitech Harmony LINK unit .... which allows you control of up to 8 devices, and full TV listings - via your iPad!!
I am wondering if anybody here has any first hand experience with this device? Does it do what they claim, and is it worth laying out the cash on it, or should I just get a Harmony 300/800?
Thanx!

Reviews are not the best at this point. I would hold off until they get the bugs worked out of the software. If you need RF capability I would go with either the 1100 or 900. If you don't need RF then the harmony one is also good. (Exactly the same as the 900 without RF). I own all three of them.

Also if you want RF the 1100 does not come with it in the box. You have to buy it at an additional cost. 900 comes bundled with it.

Not sure on this model but I love my older harmony. I'll be picking up an RF model once I get my theater project started. :thumbsup
