Happy 2012 now move your shit!

Wow I'm shocked, they seemed really serious. Sometimes I'm shocked we have survived so well for over ten years after seeing so many hosts come and go.
I wonder of we can pay to get the domain and traffic. Anyone know how to get a hold of this guy? |

Not the best way to bring in the new year for people hosted there...

Yeah plenty of hosts have gone away with no notice. I think they keep thinking they can pull off a fourth quarter comeback until the day their last backbone provider cuts them off, or they get locked out of the building. In alphabetical order, Acronoc, Alphared ... fuck it, lots of them. We had to get creative to get our servers out of one datacenter when the company operating it locked the doors and left to Florida. |
Tough situation. If anyone needs assistance getting moved to a new host, please give me a shout.

I believe that epitome posted AFTER I offered to help anyone out that needed it. I don't see anything wrong with his recommendation, after I posted an offer to help.
I have actually tried very hard to reach out the owners of hostgladiator myself, to offer any assistance that I could, before posting in this thread, but I have not been successful. I believe everyone posting in here does have compassion for all involved. The business owner and the clients that will be affected. Quote:

Hosting is a race to the bottom, ultimately everyone is doomed.

LOL about the comments about another host trying to take their business.
There's apparently no business left to take, duh! |

Thank about it. |

Now if I were on a forum that discussed appliance stores and I heard Joes was going out of business in three days and I knew sallys had great appliances I would certainly post that. |
Since I am spamtastic, if naked isn't your flavor, I also recommend national net, mojo and reflected.
Doesn't change the fact people have a few days left to secure new hosting and move their sites. |

fuck everyone in this thread go with dreamhost, hostgator or webair.

This is why I don't use them.
|
wow that sucks, good luck to those who have got that little time to move, tough situation both the company and the customers... 2012 is doomed

Anyway, just noticed you whoring on the first page. Guess it's only OK for you to do? |

So to come into a discussion and say how great these other hosts are compared to him is not fair and I think rude. I know it's to spam and personally I don't care if you spam. Personally spam to me is auto posting crap a reference is hardly spam in my book. I have posted probably 5 promotions in the last 8 years here on the front page. Considering the thousands I have spent on advertising i don't think they mind. But honestly I do still feel weird about it. Anyways I'm sorry, no disrespect! I know he worked his ass off for his company that's all. if there is ever a thread about our company going under I hope people say some nice stuff and respect what we tried are asses off to do. |

Look at it from another angle. I had a property management company that was my life. My partner (in both senses of the word) disappeared one day with all of our clients money and our own money. $92 left to my name with outstanding checks written for way more than that. There was so way to save my biz, house or anything else. After pressing charges against him, I approached a friend and competitor and asked him if he could take over for the clients that weren't put off by the whole situation (the ones that trusted the truth was the truth)... We then contacted my clients together and got them moved over to his biz and he even discounted their services. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do, but it had to be done because it was the least I could do. We were all blindsided by the immediate closure of the biz. Immediately I thought why didn't he partner up with somebody to transition those that wanted to. Just like when that CDN was shut down last year by their upstream, they worked with MaxCDN for an effortless transfer. So since hostgladiator didn't offer that service I at least offered up the endorsement of a company that has hosted me for years without incident. It isn't unrealistic think a lot of customers are thinking wtf and want to migrate effortlessly. In comes a company I love who offers to move people and hook them up with free hosting for a few months. Of course I am going to give my endorsement after seeing that offer. It's not like kacy spammed a thread of somebody complaining about ticket response time. Hostgladiator is going dark in a few days. Big difference. And sorry I just got bitchy in your thread too. |
