How many paysite owners out there are changing their tour pages regularly? What is most affective? If you add content daily for your members, should you update your tour page daily too? Or is that a waste of time?....lets hear your thoughts!

I find it perfect to have a front, a kick ass tour and one extra that changes all the time and show some of the new vids etc. inside :glugglug

Trial and error what works for me might not work for the next guy

Depends on how much traffic to some extent. When your reach becomes so wide that the same surfer clicks on a different one of your banners, not realizing he/she is going to the same site then it might be time for a rotating host of tours. I don't see too many people doing this but the few times I have seen it done it worked pretty good. If the surfer didn't buy the first time, then clicks on another banner from somewhere else and gets a different tour the second time, then maybe they join.

If your exposure isn't that good, then one totally optimized tour with slight changes made now and again should hold up well for you for a good long time.

I find that when I change text, sales can go down. I mess with shit and think that the exact wording can have such a huge impact--best to leave it alone if it works for you.

However, when I change photos or layout, it almost always results in a sales boost.

I did some major tweaks last week and had a killer jump for a few days...

In the past, I have added pics or swapped out content and seen a steady flow of sales for hours immediately after.

Multiple tours is my next goal, as I diversify my incoming traffic.

I update my free tour to match my pay tour every Saturday, I add a full page to the tour, up to page 76 right now, it is a pain in the ass but it works for me:thumbsup

What I would recommend is to think about what other tours don't do.

Do not copy the NastyDollars-adopted generic style of tour. Yes, it does work on a basic level, but it also makes your site look like all the rest.

Why should a surfer pay his money to you when there are a dozen sites competing for his $ at any given moment?

Use a clean layout that starts with the basics, but add something to it that makes your site unique. A focus, emphasis, or idea that will convey that they cannot get this experience anywhere else.

small teasing clips and pics, change weekly and say that it changes weekly, they will come back and sooner or later join

We just have an auto update so when it updates there is a page on the front of the site that shows the new set or video added. It shows an active site if you show updates I think.

Our main tour pages stay pretty constant, but we have a whole tour version of the members section, which is very frequently updated.
