How many blogs have you made with free providers?
 

I'm up to 56 with a range of different blog providers. I have some that generate 4 uniques a day :1orglaugh others that do very well.

Nice. Are you making a mint with your free blog network?

I'm up to seventy.

10 on tumblr.

I got a link trade from someone on linkspun with 1800 blogs all on subdomains of various free blogs.
That's some time invested.
Either they are making money or they love to waste a shit load of time.

I would say if they are not making money they are crazy .

And what do you think?

Wow, 1800, christ, that's a lot of time!

With just over 50 it's nice to watch what people will click, what article gets read the most, where to put links, etc., etc. Even though I haven't made a ton of money directly from the free blogs I have, they are a wealth of information and have made some cash.

I will keep building.

It just seems to me that you could put the same amount of effort from making 100's of free spam crap blogs into making 20 or so good, handwritten quality blogs on real domains and make out so much better.

never used a free host before, other than blogspot and tumblr

5-10k. I stopped counting really. Sales are shit these days though. I can't even clear 1k/month.

ive made more sales from sites on subdomains then from tlds this year, i know the dude with the 1800, he posts here, he is a grinder for sure.

they must be splogs then.

a few hundred but they are all splogs and a lot of them heavily feature dead sponsors. I really need to find the time to go through them and change the links.

I've slowly worked my up to no free hosted blog sites from my former grand total of zero.

I don't know but I sure as hell hope they are making fat cash off all that work.

before I sold my network, I had around 100 freehosted blogs on several (larger) hosts, invested about the same time and made the same number of posts on them as on blogs on my own domains, and those on my own domains always performed alot better, so eventually I started using freehosted blogs just to do ABC trades, and kickstart new sites on my own domains

The amount of money mikesinner could have made with self-hosted blogs, each on it's own domain, is mind-boggling.

Couple hundred. I usually do kinda half and half for self-hosted and free-hosted. Other than being able to run more of your own adverts at the top and customize the design more nicely, what difference do you all find between the two varieties?

One of the reasons SpookyCash was the very first sponsor to have an affiliate-coded RSS was that I wanted that sort of tool for my own promo.
