Washington: James Franco is in talks to portray the role of Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner of the early 70?s, in an upcoming biopic about porn legend Linda Lovelace.

?Jennifer's Body? actress Amanda Seyfried has replaced Kate Hudson to portray Lovelace in the project, opposite Peter Sarsgaard who will portray the role of the porn star?s husband Chuck Traynor, Contactmusic reported.

Franco was previously linked to the role of Traynor, but now he?s being touted to take on a smaller part as the Playboy magazine founder, reports trade paper Daily Variety.

Hank Azaria has also joined the cast as Jerry Damiano, who was the director of hit porn film ?Deep Throat?.
