Downgrading my TV system today... (Sob...)
 

I currently have 'Sky World' - Thats like the 'Rolls Royce' of TV packages in the UK... Costs over £90 ($140) a month... I had EVERY CHANNEL AVAILABLE ! Plus all the HD Channels, in 3 Rooms on 3 different HD TVs...

Cant afford it... So I'm moving to 'Freeview' instead... Will now have just 10 Channels and NO HD in 3 rooms...

Sob...

"Freeview" has HD, I have both Freeview and Sky, but to be honest I dont watch that much TV (that what living in Spain for so long will do to you, make you hate TV because it sucks so bad).

Why dont you get like a "Lovefilm" account?

Yes, but you need an HD Freeview box to do that, and I cant afford it... Plus the HD channels are not available on my transmitter anyway... :(

tbh with 4od, iplayer, youtube i hardly ever watch tv. easier to select what you wanna watch, rather than whatever is on. not hd though i guess.

Unless you like to watch sport freeview is fine.

You should have kept the dish, and got a FreeSatHD box for 99 quid.

nah, 'freeview' misses so many drama & comedy channels.

Half the time, one channel has something good on, then while that one turns to crap, another has something worthwhile on it... You need paid tv :thumbsup

There are a few channels that are worthwhile on freeview, but honestly, I couldn't go without the other channels that you get on cable :2 cents:

Basically what I've done. I get some OTA local HD channels to watch football, but mainly use netflix and hulu plus on my TV for watching anything. Saved myself about $80/mo :thumbsup
