New Delicacy - 'Abalone In Tit Milk'
 

CHANGSHA - A restaurant in south China's Hunan province recently added several so-called 'nutritional dishes' to its menu - delicacies cooked in breast milk.

However, the local health authorities slapped a ban on them before they could be officially launched on Sunday, reported Ming Pao Daily News yesterday.

The authorities said the dishes did not meet hygiene standards and would be difficult to monitor if they were to be sold.

Even the public disapproved of them and response was poor during a promotional launch on Saturday, a Shaanxi newspaper report said.

Chinese Business View said the restaurant, which was not named, was serving 'abalone in breast milk', 'perch soup with breast milk' and 'freshwater mussels cooked in breast milk'.

According to the report, the restaurant obtained its daily supply of breast milk from six lactating women aged between 23 and 30, whom it euphemistically called 'nutritionists'.

'These women were recruited from a remote mountainous region that is free from industrial pollution, and they have all undergone health checks,' said restaurant owner Yang Jun.

He added that chefs spent nearly three months creating more than 60 dishes cooked with the milk, which could come from any woman the patrons were allowed to pick.

One woman said she started working at the restaurant after weaning her child off her milk. She and the five other women produced a total of 150 g to 400 g of breast milk a day.

It's nice on cereal. Breast milk and Kicks.... it's the breast.

Nasty - the problem I would have with breast milk is that it's unpasturized and whole.....meaning it would be thick, sweet & have little chunks of fat in it :1orglaugh No Thanks!
