Answering Physics Questions, Next 15 Mins
Just got finished wading through some pseudoscience on Neal Stephenson's Facebook page, and have some energy for physics left. For the next 15 minutes (ending approximately 7pm EST), I will answer your theoretical physics questions on the recent Higgs boson news, faster-than-light questions, time travel, etc.

do you think tebow will win the superbowl?

please explain the math that predicted the higgs boson

If you're asking why physicists believed it existed without any direct observation, I'd be happy to tell you. |
Did god create the universe and if not explain why and how it was created.
|
God created the universe because his holy book the bible says so.

My personal belief is that a powerful intelligence set the laws of the universe into motion, and has taken an inactive role since then. |
And ... /thread.

I am because 1s22s22p63s23p64s2....
finish the sequence... then explain why. |

Money is launched at 19.6 meters per second from Saint Kitts and Nevis.
What's the kinetic energy of the money ? |

Knock knock
Neutrino Who's there?! 1) Please explain what we should all do now that things can move faster than light and therefore exist outside our understanding of chronological time. 2) Please explain what we should do now that quantum mechanics suggests the probability of a nearly infinite number of wormholes, thereby destroying our notion of distance. As I understand it, our currrent framework of physics has two gaping holes in it and we know next to nothing about the true workings of the universe. We know how it kind of works, but apparently space, time and distance can all be hacked. Our national R&D budget is less than spit. Will foreign nations be our overlords in the future, or will they use new science to be our overlords in the past and o longer be foreign? Thanks |

What would happen if you shot a beam of Neutrinos at 99.999% of the speed of light up Justin Beiber's asshole?

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_eleme...p6_3s2_3p6_4s2 brings up a good question though... if you are able to find the answer in a reasonable amount of time with the help of google or the internet in general is it as valuable or as useful as memorizing the answer? Obviously if you don't understand the answer it is pretty useless though. |
Why are neutrinos faster than light?
|
Is the multiverse theory correct?
|
has it been 15 mins yet? doh!

Coming from bank of nevis, it's a reasonable estimate that the mass of the money will be equal to or less than zero. . |
Longest 15 minutes ever, LOL.
