(SEO) Life after Panda - It's all about the Content...

Good content trumps SEO. I know, I know, we've heard this a million times before from Google. This time (Panda #3++), they mean it.

Poor content SEO'd to death = not as good as good content. Cutts: "Just because somebody dots every i and crosses every t and gets all their HTML structure right, doesn't mean that it's good content... Even if you do brain-dead stupid things and shoot yourself in the foot, but have good content, we still want to return it"

the best thing i ever did in seo was stop listening to the red herring cutts.

smooth sailing and success abound.

fuck him.

I structure all my sites according to Google suggestions and then properly SEO them with original content.

the guy from video is an idiot

baryl 12-15-2011 02:21 PM

Doesn't apply to adult since everyone pretty much has the same duplicate content, whoever SEO'ed better will wind up on top.

The primary role of Matt Cutts is to spread misinformation. PLENTY of sites with SUPERB content were hit by Panda, while many autoblogs still top the SERPs.

Well Panda isn't done yet. We're at the third major wave and there's probably more to come. While the occasional autoblog and scrape dump might make it to the top of some serps, there's quite a few farms that took a hot one between the eyes since Feb.

Yep, my autoblogs do fine and didn't drop in traffic at all when panda came out, in fact the traffic increased. Google doesn't want people to use SEO, they want to be in charge of how sites rank. Cutts job is to get people to work on their sites one way or another and stop people from working on SEO.

Quite a few people claim SEO doesn't work after panda. The fact is just because your sites got hit and you can't make it work doesn't mean SEO is now worthless.

While I can't disagree with the fact that a whole bunch of content farms got hit, there are also TONS of high-quality sites that did. And trust me, there's more than just the "occasional" autoblog that slipped through just fine. ;)

Its actually all about the big panda taking the little panda to the toilet for a poo...

This guy has always been full of shit, but his campaign to shape how people create websites obviously works given the degree that everyone acts as if his word is gospel.

Content content content content... quality content, quality content, rich engaging content...blah blah blah.

How much of an idiot do you have to be to not realize he's been saying that same lame shit since day 1 of his blog? His agenda and that of google is to steer people into creating content rich, useful websites and discourage spammers.

Some of you fucking morons act as if writing great text matters. It doesn't. It never has. Why do you think it matters? Go write 1000 blog posts about teen sex and you think you are going to be number 1 for that term? The top 10? Of course not.. .the same tgps that still rank well with barely a single word on the page... that have been in the top 10 for that term for a decade already will still be there or be replaced with a tube with no text who has a better linking strategy and seo network behind it.

In the last 10 years that everyone has talking about all the new changes in SEO, the SEO/Blackhat community has still been doing 90% of the same shit they were doing 10 years ago.

Clowns.

Wow. Whereas the rest of the world consists merely of clowns and Matt Cutts apologists, I've apparently stumbled into Mensa meeting this morning. Today must be lucky day.
