He started out in the acting business when his mother sent him to go audition for the role of Thomas "Sams" Sams in the 1989 film Lean on Me. He then went to work on the film Juice as Steel, along with Omar Epps, Tupac Shakur and Khalil Kain. In 1996, he again starred alongside Tupac Shakur in Bullet, and that same year starred in the buddy comedy Phat Beach with Brian Hooks.

yeah man - i used to watch this movie over and over for a) the DJ battles ...always hated how fake Q looked doing it... and b) him banging the older chick :1orglaugh

never did get into DJing but this movie tempted me
